Linebuz ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Linebuz mobile application and the website linebuz.com (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address — used for account verification and password reset
• Display name — shown publicly alongside your wait time reports
• Password — stored as a salted cryptographic hash (never in plain text)

Wait Time Reports

When you submit a wait time report, we collect:

• The place you're reporting on
• The wait time you selected (from predefined bands)
• The time of your report
• Your approximate location (used once to verify you're near the place — not stored or tracked)

Photos (Optional)

If you choose to submit a photo with your report, we collect and store that photo. Photos are displayed publicly alongside your report.

Automatically Collected Information

We may automatically collect certain information when you use the Service, including device model, operating system version, and app usage statistics. This helps us improve the app and fix bugs.

Google Places API Data

Linebuz uses the Google Places API to display information about places (name, address, category, hours of operation). This data is provided by Google and is subject to Google's privacy policy. We cache this data to improve performance but do not share it outside of the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Display aggregated wait time information to other users
• Send service-related emails (verification, password reset)
• Improve and optimize the Service
• Detect and prevent abuse or fraudulent reports

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following cases:

• Service providers — We use Resend for email delivery and Google Cloud for infrastructure. These providers process data solely on our behalf under contractual agreements.
• Legal requirements — If required by law or to protect our rights, we may disclose information to authorities.
• Aggregated data — Wait time statistics may be shared in anonymized, aggregated form (e.g., "average wait at Place X is 10 min").

5. Data Retention

• Account data — Retained until you delete your account.
• Wait reports — Retained to maintain historical wait time trends.
• Location data — Your location is checked once at report time and is not stored.
• Photos — Retained until the associated report is deleted or your account is deleted.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — Update your account information at any time
• Deletion — Delete your account and associated data
• Opt-out — Unsubscribe from non-essential emails

9. Children's Privacy
